Belize City, Belize 9-11th November 2009
This was the final event of Phase One of the CRTR Project. It provided a final opportunity to relay new research findings and allowed for exchange of ideas on marine environmental management with managers from the Mesoamerican region. The objective was to demonstrate the need for effective integration of connectivity science into coastal management, and how to develop mechanisms to achieve this.

Connectivity in coral reef systems: Lessons to date and goals for the future |

CRIOBE, Moorea, French Polynesia
7-11th March 2009 This was a small scientific workshop attended by 16 scientists from 5 countries whose research concerns coral reef connectivity and primary geographic focus has been the Pacific. The group included 6 scientists with no prior experience with the Connectivity program or the Coral Reef Targeted Research (CRTR) project. Several others had had only indirect participation in Connectivity activities. Five members of the Connectivity Working Group participated. Final Report (pdf 115 KB)

Annual Working Group meeting This three-day workshop on Connectivity of Mesoamerican Reefs was held at the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, University of Miami, with support from The Nature Conservancy and Environmental Defense. It brought together 35 working group members, associate members and associated students, and 15 management agency and NGO personnel from the Mesoamerican region. The first half of meeting was used to assess progress and plan activities for future years, while the second half, with managers and NGO personnel present, was used to share results, discover managers needs, and build partnerships and support for the project.
