Ensuring Impacts from Sustainable Land Management - Development of a Global Indicator System (KM:Land)
Background: KM:Land is the first of a three-phase project, initiated in 2007, intended to support the enhancement of knowledge management principles in the GEF Land Degradation Focal Area.
KM:Land was designed to address the knowledge management gaps in the GEF LD Focal Area by providing the scientific-technical basis for selecting indicators to demonstrate the benefits, impacts and best practices of SLM projects in the GEFportfolio and through the creation of an online Learning Network.
Objectives:
Status: Following the feedback received during the Expert Workshop (October, 2010) on the findings of the pilot testing activity of the proposed KM:Land project indicators which took place between May-September 2010, the final report on Pilot Testing and guidance materials on the project indicators are being finalized.
