Dr. Walid Saleh
Regional Coordinator, MENA region

Dr. Saleh has a background on water resources management and modeling. This includes IWRM, optimization techniques, and modeling of water systems. Dr. Saleh serves as a regional coordinator for the MENA region and is responsible for managing the International Cooperating Office (ICO) in Amman, Jordan, and the Project Office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He also develops, implements and evaluates UNU-INWEH capacity-building projects in the Middle East Region. His duties include the strategic development and elaboration of the regional program, as well as in the ongoing expert-level scientific exchanges. Also, communicates frequently and systematically with the various project partners and donor agencies. Dr. Saleh is a water resources engineer with post graduate degrees from Concordia University, Montreal, Canada.
